Suspect arrested in stabbing outside a New Mexico nightclub

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – Authorities say a suspect is in custody in connection with a stabbing outside a Las Cruces nightclub.
Las Cruces police say 24-year-old Gary Samuel Peru is being held on suspicion of one felony count each of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence.
Police say the 27-year-old victim remains hospitalized.
Officers found a man in the parking lot of Whiskey Dicks early Sunday suffering from four stab wounds to his torso.
