Survey: Most people don’t know when to replace smoke alarms
(KRQE) – It’s important to put fresh batteries in your smoke alarm, but that’s not the only step that should be taken to keep your family safe.
According to a survey by the National Fire Protection Association, nine out of 10 consumers are unaware they need to replace their smoke alarms every 10 years. After 10 years, the sensors in smoke alarms can start to fail.
