Strange sight in the sky nothing to fear

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE News 13 was flooded with phone calls Saturday night from viewers curious hoping to know more about a bright light in the northwestern sky.
It’s not an unidentified flying object, but a NASA-affiliated weather balloon launched from Fort Sumner.
As of Saturday evening, the balloon was close to Farmington and visible in Albuquerque flying approximately 118,000 feet high.
The research is part of the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, Texas.
