State Wrestling Championships comes to a close

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There is a new champion in New Mexico Class 6A wrestling.
The Cleveland Storm scored 204.5 points as a team to beat perennial power Rio Rancho in the final day of the State Wrestling Tournament.
Cleveland freshman, Joseph Otero, not only found out what it feels like to win a team title. He also became an individual state champion when he defeated Mark Gonzales of Santa Fe on points. Cleveland’s team win prevented Rio Rancho from a third straight title.
