Sources: Intel may cut more jobs

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Intel is getting ready to cut thousands of jobs.
That’s according to the Oregonian, which says this year’s cutbacks will be considerably larger than last year’s more than 1,100 cuts.
According to multiple sources inside the company, Intel may be looking to consolidate some operations and close some smaller outposts.
The downsizing could begin soon after Intel reports its first-quarter earnings on Tuesday.
