Socorro residents fight to keep Smith’s store open

SOCORRO, N.M. (KRQE) – People in a small New Mexico town are putting up a fight to try and keep one of the few grocery stores in town.
“It breaks my heart,” said Socorro resident Pat Fierro.
For 22 years Fierro has been shopping at the Smith’s in Socorro.
She, like so many other people in the county said they rely on the store for fresh products.
