“Scorch Trials” brings $23.5 million to state

The Twentieth Century Fox film “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,” which filmed in and around Albuquerque last year and opened on Friday, brought $23.5 million to the state’s economy, according to data released by the Motion Picture Association of America.
The production was housed at Albuquerque Studios.
The film topped last weekend’s box office intake by earning $30 million.
