School district to adopt policy for transgender students
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) — A southern New Jersey school district is set to adopt a policy allowing transgender students to use facilities associated with their gender identity.
The Cherry Hill Public Schools Board of Education said Friday that it’s planning to adopt the policy next month.
Students will be able to use both bathrooms and locker rooms of the gender with which they identify. They can also use a gender neutral bathroom and can request alternative changing areas.
