School Board member: Albuquerque Public Schools COO dies on trail

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A school board trustee says the hiker who died on a New Mexico trail was a top administrator with Albuquerque Public Schools.
Steven Quezada, a school board member, says he learned from the school board president on Tuesday that the district’s chief operating officer, Ruben Hendrickson, had died on a popular hiking trail at the edge of Albuquerque’s city limits.
Quezada says he was shocked and saddened to learn of Hendrickson’s death.
