Santa Fe County: Six acre fire sparks in Ortiz Mountains

SANTA FE COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe County Fire officials say crews are fighting a new fire in the Ortiz Mountains.
According to Santa Fe County Fire Chief David Sperling, the six acre fire is burning in the Gold Mine/Black Minerals area and is moving east.
The fire was reported just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Air support has been requested to help fight the fire.
