Santa Fe considers licenses to sell Native American art

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) – Santa Fe city officials are considering requiring businesses to secure licenses to sell authentic Native American art.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that a proposal endorsed Monday by the City Council’s Finance Committee would create a Native American Arts or Crafts District and require businesses selling such items to obtain a special business license.
The license would require business owners to clearly distinguish between authentic tribal art and other ite
