Roswell police release 2015 crime stats

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell police released their yearly crime statistics on Wednesday.
While crime is down overall, there has been a rise is some violent crimes. The biggest drop was seen in property crimes such as forgery and fraud. Violent crimes, including burglary, rape and vehicle theft, dropped overall about 13 percent.
But the number of homicides stayed the same year to year at 8-percent. Robbery and assault were up 6 to 8 percent.
