Rio Rancho family picking up the pieces after vandals destroy memorial for teen

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – A Rio Rancho family is picking up the pieces after vandals destroyed the memorial for a teen killed in October.The family of 15-year-old Adrian Maestas cleaned up broken glass, placed new holiday decorations and luminarias at the foot of his memorial. But they said Christmas will never be the same. "He loves his family, he loved his friends, and he didn't deserve any of this at all,” said Darcy Romero, Adrian Maestas’ mother.Story continues below
