Rio Grande near Mountain reopens after protest
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Verizon workers protesting the company’s annual shareholder meeting caused major traffic delays near Old Town on Thursday.
Albuquerque Police advised drivers to seek alternate routes, as police have shut the area down.
The group say the protest was in response to Verizon’s plan to outsource jobs, and that the protest was one of many taking place Thursday across the country.
