Repeat offender busted with stolen purse, ID’s, laptops

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque police officer’s suspicions led to a car thief and repeat offender’s arrest.
According to a criminal complaint, an officer spotted Matthew Martinez in a car in a dirt lot near Coors and Iliff last month. After pulling the car over, that officer spotted a purse, a flat screen TV, and a bunch of credit cards and ID’s. The officer claims Martinez initially told him the purse belonged to his dead wife.
