Red River Fishing Pond now open after pipeline upgrade

RED RIVER, N.M. (KRQE) – The Red River Fishing Pond is now open and ready for anglers. Due to a compromised water supply pipeline that was installed in the 1940s, the pond could not maintain water levels and quality which provided an unsuitable fish habitat. Los Alamos Golf Course reopens this weekendNow, crews have a new line installed. The pond has been stocked with rainbow Trout.
