Real ID Act goes into effect Monday
ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The federal government is set to start enforcing the Real ID Act in New Mexico on Monday, but much won’t be changing yet.
New Mexicans have been lining up for months at passport offices hoping to avoid trouble with their New Mexico driver’s license when it comes to getting onto planes. Fortunately for them, getting onto planes or entering federal facilities won’t be a problem for at least another two years.
