Questar, Piceance joint venture could grow to 300 wells

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Piceance Energy and Questar Corp. have agreed to a joint venture to drill 80 natural gas wells in the Collbran area of Mesa County in a deal that could grow to 300 wells.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel (http://tinyurl.com/n9r9lgw ), the agreement provides promise for the immediate future of drilling in northwestern Colorado’s Piceance Basin, where activity has fallen off due to low commodity prices.
Questar, based in Salt Lake City, said in a n
