Prosecutors expected to wrap up case in Sandy, Perez trial

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The murder trial of two former Albuquerque Police Department officers is now in its second week and the prosecution is expected to wrap up its case soon.
Monday’s testimony focused on the wounds and the weapons.
The defense asked an APD detective to open an evidence bag. He then was instructed to show the jury one of the two pocket knives James Boyd was holding before Dominique Perez and Keith Sandy shot and killed him in 2014.
Meanwhile, the special prosec
