Police: Suspect killed on I-25 was wanted for armed carjacking

SOCORRO, N.M. (KRQE) – About 28 miles of I-25 southbound is shut down from mile marker 147 in Socorro all the way to San Marciel after a deadly shooting involving State Police.
The Albuquerque Police Department was called to a scene at 11:15 a.m. near 6th and Central in Albuquerque where a victim was held at knife point and had their vehicle stolen. The suspect took off southbound on I-25 in the stolen gold SUV.
