Police: Driver shoots suspected carjacker, additional suspects sought

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  Police are searching for two suspected carjackers after a shooting in northeast Albuquerque.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 3900 block of Montgomery Blvd. NE. According to the Albuquerque Police Department, three armed males attempted to car jack a couple in a parking lot. APD says the driver was also armed and shot at the carjackers hitting one of them.
Police say that suspect was seriously injured and was taken to an Albuquerque hospital.
