Parents arrested in Española for infant's fentanyl exposure

ESPAÑOLA, N.M. (KRQE) — A mother and father are facing child abuse charges after their infant was exposed to fentanyl on Monday, Española Police have confirmed. The department says the child suffered an overdose as a result and now remains in neonatal intensive care.Officers were dispatched to Española Presbyterian Hospital at about 10:23 p.m. that evening. According to police, the mother and father rushed to the ER after the infant's condition became "abnormal."
