Officials issue voluntary evacuation in Chilili due to Dog Head Fire

CHILILI, N.M. (KRQE) – The Dog Head Fire that started Tuesday afternoon in the Manzano Mountains has burned 682 acres with no reported containment. The Torrance County Sheriff is warning residents to be ready to leave their homes at a moment’s notice if the winds pick up.
Officials with the Mountainair Ranger District say a voluntary evacuation has been issued for Chilili.
