NMSU fires Athletic Director Mario Moccia

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) –  Mario Moccia has been relieved of his duties as the Athletic Director at New Mexico State University, with University President Valerio Ferme said in a statement: “After carefully reviewing the recent report issued by the New Mexico Department of Justice, I felt we needed a fresh start in our athletics program."This marks the first big decision made by Ferme as he assumed his duties as university president on Jan. 1, 2025, per his contract.Story c
