Newly restored Peacekeeper missile on display in Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A special ceremony held in Albuquerque Thursday for a newly restored Peacekeeper missile. You can find it at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History.
The 68-foot-long missile is the U.S. Air Force’s most powerful and accurate intercontinental ballistic missile, deterrent from 1986 to 2005. Orbital ATK was the project sponsor and provided some of the funding and technical expertise of the display.
