New Mexico ties university funding to performance
SANTA FE (AP) – Higher education officials in New Mexico are urging lawmakers to tie more funding for universities, colleges and specialized schools to performance goals.
State Higher Education Secretary Barbara Damron recommended Tuesday that the Legislature increase the percentage of funding linked to performance goals from to 8 percent from the current 6.5 percent.
