New Mexico teen uses class project to fix troubled road

VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico high school student is using a class project to try and fix a major problem in his neighborhood.
Mateo Olivas,15, loves the freedom of driving but he doesn’t love the road he is forced to drive on right outside his home in Los Chavez.
The half mile stretch of Cuatro Vientos Road in Valencia County makes for a rough ride, according to Mateo.
“It’s so bumpy you can’t even feel your butt afterwards,” Mateo said.
