New Mexico sees increase in high school students taking advanced courses

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – More New Mexico high school students than ever before are earning college credit through Advanced Placement courses. Governor Susana Martinez made the announcement Thursday.
According to the governor, New Mexico is also a national leader in offering access to AP courses for low-income students.
AP classes offer university-level education, giving students the chance to enter college with credits already under their belts.
