New Mexico man charged with 9th DWI conviction

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – A man is being charged with his ninth DWI offense after he drove his vehicle into a tree and was arrested by State Police.
Police say Ronald Smith smelled like alcohol and had multiple bottles of vodka inside his vehicle.
When asked to preform a sobriety test, police say Smith admitted to being drunk.
Smith has eight prior DWI convictions.
