New Mexico lawmakers race to resolve budget, crime issues
SANTA FE (AP) – New Mexico lawmakers are racing to approve a balanced budget in a year of plunging oil revenues while pushing forward with an ambitious slate of criminal justice initiatives and anti-corruption reforms.
The state’s abbreviated 30-day legislative session comes to a close by law at noon on Thursday.
