New Mexico lawmakers make final push before session ends

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – This year’s legislative session is getting down to the wire and lawmakers still have a lot to get done.
Before the weekend, there was just one bill on the governor’s desk. That’s up to seven right now, but none of those deal with the big priorities for either side.
Lawmakers still have to approve the budget in a very tight financial year.
The current version of that $6.2 billion budget cuts most state agencies by around 2 percent.
