ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico lawmakers from both parties agreed on a compromise Monday to provide emergency funding to New Mexico’s court system.
House leadership agreed to adopt an amendment to House Bill 261 on Monday, providing $83,000 to the state Supreme Court to cover an estimated shortfall of $82,600 in its current year budget. The bill also provides funds totaling $593,000 to court offices to cover costs like jury and witness fees.
