New Mexico lawmaker to talk about his around-the-world trip

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A New Mexico Republican who is attempting a solo flight around the world to honor U.S. veterans is set to meet with students to talk about his trip.
U.S. Rep. Steve Pearce is scheduled Wednesday to visit the Southwest Aeronautics Mathematics and Science Academy in Albuquerque.
The Hobbs Republican will look at students’ flight simulators and give a 20-minute talk about his flight.
