New hotline launching to answer questions about new ID requirements

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s been three days since New Mexico’s MVD started issuing Real ID compliant licenses, but already there’s been a lot of confusion.
Many people are showing up without the proper documents in hand required to get their license. That has led to frustration and outright anger by some.
Now the ACLU of New Mexico, the New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness and immigrant rights groups are setting up a new hotline to answer people’s questions.
