Navajo Transitional Energy Company receives $2.6M for solar panel systems

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – $2.6 million in grant money is going toward building solar panels on Navajo Nation land. The money is coming from the United States Department of Energy and going to the Navajo Transitional Energy Company. Santo Domingo Pueblo gets over $9 million for internetThe company said its goal is to bring clean, affordable energy to remote areas. These funds will go to installing 125 systems within the next five years.
