Mourning New Mexico father asks lawmakers for harsher DWI penalties

SANTA FE (KRQE) – A mourning father is begging state lawmakers to do something about drunk drivers.
Back in November, police said Jacob Jaramillo was driving drunk and killed three people when he crashed into them under the Big-I.
Grace Sinfield was one of the people who died.
Today, her father told us the last words he spoke to his daughter.
He told her not to drink and drive — a warning she would follow, but Jaramillo would ignore.
