Motorists warned on still icy southeastern New Mexico roads
ALBUQUERQUE (AP) – Authorities in southeastern New Mexico are warning motorists to still use caution on roads days after a record snow storm struck the region.
Chaves County offices will remain closed Wednesday and Thursday because of icy roads and impassable streets.
In Roswell, officials worked Wednesday to salt roads but authorities say many remained icy. Freezing fog also is decreasing visibility and officials say motorists should plan ahead before traveling.
