More rain coming to the state this afternoon and through the weekend

Temperatures are cooling off across the region. Heavy rainfall coming later this afternoon to Northern New Mexico.
Southeast New Mexico has been given a temporary reprieve of extreme temperatures today. The cold front pushed all the way into Southwest New Mexico this morning allowing areas like Roswell and Carlsbad the opportunity to cool off a few degrees. Northern New Mexico also saw their temperatures drop this morning. Certain areas in the mountains woke up to temperatures in the 40's.
