Mom convicted of creating public nuisance for Facebook post

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) – A Roswell woman has been convicted of creating a public nuisance by posting an online comment about the possibility of a shooting at her son’s middle school.
The Roswell Daily Record reports that 32-year-old Jeanette Garza Alvarez was given a 30-day deferred sentence Tuesday after being convicted in Municipal Court.
