MLK Commission settles lawsuit over IPRA request, sexual comment claims

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Martin Luther King Jr. Commission has settled a whistleblower lawsuit filed by its former associate director. Erica Davis Crump sued the commission in 2020 saying she was retaliated against after she raised concerns about the organization's spending and blew the whistle on the executive director's inappropriate and sexual comments. New Mexico receives over $6 million for workforce trainingThe commission agreed to pay $60,000 to settle the lawsuit.
