Maternity leave options could soon change

MASON CITY, IOWA- If you are a mother or mother-to-be, it may not surprise you that the United States does not mandate some form of paid maternity leave more than six weeks after giving birth.
But recently many big cities are changing that.
Mother Kara Ruge is not new to pregnancy.
So when Kara found out she was pregnant for a second time, she started looking into her options for maternity leave.
