Mardi Gras in the Mountains kicks off in Red River

RED RIVER, N.M. (KRQE) – Mardi Gras celebrations kicked off a little early here in the Land of Enchantment as Red River hosted its annual Mardi Gras in the Mountains. Saturday afternoon, visitors gathered around Main Street for the Mardi Gras Parade. Officials take proposed trail to connect Questa and Red River to next levelKRQE's own Annalisa Pardo helped ring in the fun, throwing beads to the crowd. Festivities continue until the actual day of Mardi Gras, Tuesday, March 4.
