Man who served prison time for auto theft now suing the city

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A refugee from Iran who served prison time for auto theft has filed a lawsuit against the City of Albuquerque claiming his rights were violated.
Boback Sabeerin was arrested in 2009 in one of the largest chop shop operations in state history.
Sabeerin ended up serving six years behind bars, but his charges were later dismissed after the state court of appeals found that the Albuquerque Police Department didn’t have probable cause to search his business
