Man accused in deadly drunk driving crash waives hearing
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The case involving an accused drunk driver who killed three people in Torrance County is moving forward.
Cesar Chavez waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday in magistrate court which means the case now moves forward to district court.
Chavez is accused of driving drunk on April 23 and hitting a car with a family inside head on. A father, his daughter and grandchild were killed. The mother and their three other kids were seriously injured.
