Locals complete 35 mile hike for cancer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– Twelve teens and young adults who have lost someone they loved to cancer embarked in an incredible journey Saturday.The group walked from the volcanoes on the western edge of Albuquerque and are currently on their way to the top of the Sandia Crest.The 35-mile journey called “The Walk” is physically and mentally grueling, but for each of them it’s a way to deal with their grief.The group is also raising money along the way.
