Lobo women open the season with a victory

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The regular season opener was not at the typical time for Yvonne Sanchez and her Lobo women’s basketball team. They played late as part of a season opening double header. The Lobo men played first and the women had enough energy to hold off a determined Houston Baptist team 65 to 57.
Lobo freshman Jaisa Nunn led the scoring in the Lobos final exhibition game and did the same Friday night, scoring 11 points and pulling down eight rebounds. Next up for the Lobos i
