Lobo comeback effort falls short in New Mexico Bowl loss

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Playing in front of the home fans in the team’s first bowl game in eight years, the Lobos fell short in a 45-37 loss to the Arizona Wildcats.
UNM trailed by 18 points shortly after a Lamar Jordan interception deep in Lobo territory midway through the third quarter. The Lobos rallied to make the game close and were driving for a tying score when quarterback Austin Apodaca threw a game-ending interception.
It was the 67th meeting between the Lobos and Wildcats
