Lilly and Jaydon’s families try to turn grief into change

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- Two mothers who lost children to gun violence this year in Albuquerque are trying to turn their grief into action.
They share a bond few can understand and no one ever wants.
“As mothers, losing your children, it’s something there’s really no words for,” said Nicole Chavez, mother of Jaydon Chavez-Silver.
“My family is destroyed, my family is devastated because my Lilly is gone,” said Veronica Rael-Garcia, mother of Lilly Garcia.
