Lightning sparks fire in southern New Mexico

MAYHILL, N.M. (KRQE) –  Crews are fighting a new fire in Lincoln National Forrest.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, the Curtis Fire is burning four miles southwest of Mayhill, New Mexico. At this time the fire is an estimated three acres in size.
The fire was sparked by lightning Wednesday and is burning Pinon Juniper and Ponderosa Pine.
