Lawmakers expected to debate REAL ID bill

SANTA FE (KRQE) – New Mexico lawmakers better get to work on fixing the driver’s license issue. Wednesday the Department of Defense said it will no longer accept New Mexico licenses at any base nationwide.
Kirtland and White Sands are already refusing to accept the licenses, but now so will Canon and Holloman Air Force bases.
Lawmakers are expected to begin debate on a bill that would fix the problem Thursday.
